Swinging open the doors to our villa, we are greeted by the modern chic design coupled with warm wood tones and pops of colour that are a signature of the W brand. Absolutely no expense has been spared to make your stay comfortable and memorable, with 350 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding on the king sized bed, large seating area equipped with 46 inch TV and a fully stocked bar. The opulent marble bathroom also features an oversized bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers and double vanities. Following through to the oversized wooden outdoor deck boasting an undercover king sized daybed, your private 11 meter infinity lap pool and twin sunbeds for whiling the day away and taking in those views of glistening blue waters and Koh Phangan on the horizon.
After a long day of relaxing and nothingness, a visit to AWAY Spa is very much deserved. A total of 7 luxurious treatment rooms are spread across 5 pavilions and lush tropical gardens, each room is adorned with inspiring smells, transportative sounds and detoxifying lotions for a complete renewal of the senses. AWAY Spa offers a wide variety of treatments from massage, facials, body scrubs, hair styling and other beauty treatments. The spa also features Asia’s very first Thaimascal herbal sauna and steam room, inspired by the traditional Mexican Temazcal ritual, it works to cleanse and purify the body and soul. When you have completed your treatment you are welcome to visit the in-spa TONIC Bar for freshly made juices and smoothies.
Once the sun starts to set over the horizon, it is time to carry on the philosophy of W Hotel, and let your hair down for a few cocktails at one of the resorts in-house bars. WOOBAR is an iconic fixture on the island with its 270-degree sweeping views and seating pods in the Reflection Pond or you can venture down to the resorts private beach, and enjoy a perfectly mixed drink at SIP BAR and listen to the sounds of the ocean while watching one of those magnificent Thai sunsets. The resort also offers two highly acclaimed restaurants, situated directly below WOOBAR is THE KITCHEN TABLE with its casual vibe, large outdoor terrace and open air kitchen; you can enjoy everything from pizza, pasta, steaks and classical Thai dishes. If you are in the mood for Japanese, NAMU has gained a reputation as the best Japanese restaurant in all of Koh Samui. At NAMU, the chefs really push the boundaries of conventional Japanese cuisine but in the best way possible, all of the dishes are thoughtfully prepared with bold and inventive fusion flavours, and imitate art on a plate. The lobster udon is a thing of beauty!
