Best of Chiang Mai

We instantly fell in love with Chiang Mai – its people, culture and pace really resonated with us and we didn’t think that anything else could top that. We were wrong.

As soon as we stepped onto Le Méridien Chiang Mai, we were greeted with the utmost warmth and hospitality, which we were already accustomed to by the lovely locals.

Our check-in experience was memorable and we really felt like we were the only people in the Lobby that afternoon. As we rode the elevator and opened the door to our Executive Suite, we were immediately met with the sweeping mountain views of the famous Doi Suthep. The welcome treats were second to none, and featured a selection of fresh tropical fruits, accompanied by the Le Méridien Signature Collection of chocolates and eclairs.

Our welcome was amplified by a gorgeous orchid arrangement which spelt out ‘@roguepassport’ on our luxurious XL King Size Bed. As we toured the Executive Suite, we were delighted to discover a full entertainment suite, deluxe bathroom fittings topped with a decadent corner spa bath with a view. We knew we were in for an amazing staycation weekend.

As content creators, an excellent WiFi service is our No. 1 priority, and we can happily report that the service was super fast, responsive, with full coverage and connectivity throughout the whole property.

After work and some much needed downtime, it was time for refreshments as we headed over to the Le Méridien Club Lounge where we were met with that signature smile and hospitality we have come to expect from the lovely staff. The Club Lounge itself felt decadent and featured an Art Deco style with high end finishes throughout. There was an array of sweet and savoury snacks, hot and cold beverages and alcoholic drinks served from 5pm-8pm. Nothing like a nice drink before heading out for a spot of dinner and to explore the local nightlife.

After a blissful night’s sleep in our luxurious XL King Size Bed, we enjoyed another early morning workout in the fully appointed gym, then it was time for breakfast and lucky we were hungry. We were offered a starter of a nice cup of illy coffee along with a beautiful almond croissant. Continental breakfast options were amazing, with full local and Western hot and cold meal options available. We enjoyed plenty of fresh fruit, followed by eggs cooked on the spot your way, with an abundance of toast, pastries and fresh juice drinks on offer.

Post breakfast and it was time for a dip in the infinity pool, which did not disappoint as we waded and swam against the beautiful backdrop that is the mountain views of Doi Suthep. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to see off our weekend staycation at Le Méridien Chiang Mai.

Thank you so much and we look forward to our next stay with you. x
